Description
Spring is here. For a jolt of cheer, we love these gauzy, breezy, soft, lightweight cotton scarf/shawls by Tamaki Niime of Japan. Since 2006 Tamaki Niime has been making textiles utilizing the traditional Japanese weaving technique called Bashu-ori. Previously dyed yarn is woven on slow vintage looms and later washed and dried in the sun. This traditional technique creates a uniquely inviting, soft and feathery feel with no two pieces being exactly the same. All the work is made in Nishiwaki, the "navel of Japan" and center of Banshu-ori practice. Made of single ply, gauzy 100% cotton. This is a LARGER version of this scarf, but thin and not bulky. Measures approx. 70"L X 40"W. Wear as a scarf or open up and wear as a gauzy shawl. An easy way to bring a little color and cheer to your wardrobe and guard from the chill of cool days/evenings.
Color: multi- green, magenta, red, black...
Made in Japan. One of a kind.
